Applied Innovation is a dynamic and detail-oriented Product Marketing Specialist for the Applied Technology & Automation product portfolio to collaborate with our partners (such as Arctic Wolf, Datto, Intermedia, Connectwise, DocuWare, Hyland, etc) in creating and executing compelling marketing content that drives sales enablement. The ideal candidate will be passionate about understanding every aspect of the products provided by our partners, translating that knowledge into impactful messaging, sales tools, blogs, and other content formats. This role serves as the primary point of contact between our sales teams and our vendor partners, ensuring that all product-related information is communicated effectively to facilitate sales success. This role will report to the Manager of Field and Product Marketing.
Key Responsibilities:- Product Expertise: Gain an in-depth understanding of the products provided by our partners, including technical specifications, market positioning, and competitive landscape. Communicate this knowledge clearly to internal teams and serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for this product category.
- Sales Enablement: Design and deploy strategies, in partnership with the Field & Product Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing, to equip sales teams with the tools, content, and information needed to sell products effectively. This includes creating sales guides, training materials, and other resources to support the sales process.
- Content/Message Creation: Develop and execute marketing materials, including product messaging, blogs, brochures, presentations, and other content that highlights the features, benefits, and competitive advantages of our products.
- Strategy Collaboration: Collaborate with the Director of Marketing, Field & Product Marketing Manager, and Digital Marketing Strategist to understand trends, topics, and keywords that are performing and provide content/messaging direction for social media, email campaigns, and other outreach.
- Collaboration with Partners: Serve as the primary contact with manufacturer partner marketing and product marketing teams to gather product information, align on messaging, and coordinate marketing initiatives. Work closely with partners to ensure consistency in product positioning and branding.
- Market Research: Work with Sales and Data Analyst to conduct market research and analysis to understand customer profiles, customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape. Use this information to inform product positioning and marketing strategies. Perform win/loss analysis to assist in Sales strategy.
Required Qualifications:- Strong understanding of B2B marketing, sales enablement, and the IT Services or Software technology industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into compelling content to tell a story.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in product marketing, content creation, or a related role.
- Experience working in the office technology, software, or shredding industry.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management and go-to-market strategies.
- Former sales experience is ideal.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and content marketing strategies.
- Flexibility and the ability to pivot quickly between various responsibilities and tasks, often shifting focus as business needs evolve.
