Location: NYC - Day 1 Onsite, 3 Days working from Office (Looking for locals only) Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong background in Business Analysis within the payment's domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the product vision and strategy for payment solutions, aligning them with organizational goals and market trends in digital payments and financial technology. You will lead the development and continuous improvement of payment products while ensuring compliance with industry standards and security regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of payment gateways, transaction processing, digital wallets, and emerging technologies. Key Responsibilities: Product Vision & Strategy: Define and maintain the product roadmap for payment solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and market trends in digital payments and financial technology. Backlog Management: Prioritize the product backlog based on customer needs, regulatory requirements, and business value. Ensure that user stories are clearly defined, actionable, and aligned with industry best practices. Payments Expertise: Leverage in-depth knowledge of payment gateways, transaction processing, digital wallets, and emerging technologies to guide product decisions and innovations. Data-Driven Insights: Gather and analyze customer feedback, market research, and performance metrics to continuously improve payment solutions and drive product development. Compliance & Security: Collaborate with compliance, security, and legal teams to ensure all payment products comply with industry standards such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and AML regulations. Agile Methodology: Act as the Scrum Product Owner, leading sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to ensure high-quality delivery of features on time. International Payments: Understand international payments, currency exchange, and cross-border transaction regulations to shape global payment strategies. Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering: Define and document business and functional requirements for small to moderate-sized projects. Ensure clear communication with IT teams and business stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable product features. Process Improvement: Continuously analyze and define business processes, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and working with technology teams to enhance application performance. Testing & Quality Assurance: Support testing of new or enhanced applications and systems, including case development, requirement traceability analysis, test preparation, and functional test execution. Training & Documentation: Provide training to users on new or enhanced applications and systems. Assist with the development of user documentation to support product deployment and adoption. Required Qualifications: Experience:
  • 12+ years of experience in Product Ownership and Business Analysis within the payments domain (payment gateways, transaction processing, digital wallets, etc.).
  • Proven track record of managing product roadmaps and backlogs for payment solutions, prioritizing based on customer needs and business value.
  • In-depth experience in Agile methodology, particularly in leading sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives as a Scrum Product Owner.
Payments Domain Expertise:
  • Strong understanding of international payments, currency exchange, cross-border transaction regulations, and emerging technologies in the payment industry.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR, AML) and their application in payment solutions.
Business Analysis Skills:
  • Extensive experience in gathering, defining, and documenting business and functional requirements.
  • Ability to translate business needs into actionable features for development teams, ensuring clarity and alignment with product goals.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate complex concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Additional Skills:
  • Experience in developing user stories, use cases, and test plans for payment solutions.
  • Familiarity with the latest trends and innovations in digital payments, such as blockchain, cryptocurrency, and mobile payments.
  • Understanding of the integration of payment solutions with enterprise systems and third-party services.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in Agile, Scrum, or Product Management are a plus. Payments industry certifications (e.g., Certified Payments Professional (CPP), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)) are desirable but not required. Key Competencies:
