Product Quality Analyst Contractor
Location: Austin, TX 78703
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Schedule: Full-time onsite
Pay: $27 - $29/hr, DOE
Duration: ~ 1 year, through 12/31/2025, with the possibility of being extended into 2026
An industry leading grocer based in Austin, is seeking a Product Quality Data Analyst Contractor to join their team. This individual will be working with the Exclusive Brands (EB) division and will be responsible for evaluating products and customer feedback data to identify issues and provide improvement recommendations to EB category leaders and technical teams. Analyze customer feedback data to identify product quality issues and trends. Collaborate with Food Safety and Quality teams to troubleshoot root causes during the manufacturing, storage, and distribution of EB products. Summarize product investigation findings and customer sentiment to communicate quality insights with business stakeholders, including product developers and category managers.
Job Duties:
· Lead or participate in policy and procedure development for the PQ team upon request.
Qualifications:
* B.S. in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.
* 2-3 years' experience working in food and/or non-food quality control or assurance department(s) within the retail or food manufacturing packaged goods industry OR in data science/analytics.
* 1 year experience working in quality in a laboratory or manufacturing environment for foods and consumer goods.
* Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and deliver against rapid development timelines.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Ability to make decisions or judgments and know when to seek subject matter expert opinion.
* Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Work).
* Ability to have fun and enable others to have fun while achieving results.
