Job Title:Product Quality Engineering Summer Internship 2025
Summary:In this role, you will aid in improving product quality using continuous improvement methodologies, working with manufacturing personnel, collaboration with other engineers, leadership to define problems and develop solutions.
Responsibilities Include:- Identify gaps in Management Systems and execute improvements using DMAIC methodology and problem-solving techniques such as data analysis, process mapping, failure mode effect analysis, and control plans.
- Execute processes necessary to support effective management systems to include all manufacturing operations
- Communicate to operations leadership and manufacturing personnel as needed project status and requirements
- Strengthen organizational culture through safety and sustainability, customer centricity, by focusing on employee engagement and inclusion.
- Strive for Operational Excellence through innovation, to achieve focused improvements.
- Project focus #1: develop and prepare documentation for document management system & related training to enhance quality management system and document control processes including support for LIMS and MES.
- Project focus #2: Develop validation processes for production to demonstrate the ability to achieve planned results
- Establish defined criteria, equipment, specific methods, procedures, and statistical techniques. Determine requirements for records, and approval of changes
Qualifications:The following are required for the role- Good communication skills with all levels of the workforce and leadership.
- Bring to closure assigned projects and clearly communicate information using appropriate tools (Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word)
- Compliance to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and standards.
- Rising Junior or Senior toward Mechanical, Chemical Engineering degree or similar.
Preferred Requirements- You have first experience with using SAP or minitab
Program Requirements- The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.
- The candidate is expected to be available in person 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, climb, twist, turn, grasp, and move about the facility. Walking, walking on irregular surfaces, and balancing will be required. Hearing, sight to include depth perception and color vision, and the ability to speak clearly will be required. Occasional lifting and moving up to 50 lbs. and the ability to comply with PPE requirements (ability to pass a fit-test and wear a respirator is required for certain positions/locations).The environment for this position is a manufacturing setting, with exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noise. Candidates should be able to adapt to a traditional business environment. Master's rate: $32/hr; PhD rate: $37/hr
What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00The base salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography.
