JOB REQUIREMENTS: Product Quality Specialist (Beaver Dam) Job Locations US-WI-Beaver Dam Job ID 2024-3765 # of Openings 1 Category Quality Type Regular Full-Time Overview Under direction of the Quality Manager this position is responsible for implementing and carrying out SCAG \ Out of the Box\ and Layered Process Audits. The goal of this position is to verify SCAG product quality, reinforce STOP/FIX culture and verify processes are being carried out as intended. This position will be located out of the Beaver Dam facility. Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Walk the assembly line(s), validate tools, inspection and work are being done to the work instructions - not authoritarian, but independent auditing of the process, a resource and validation of the process to the people and leadership, a feedback loop to operations and manufacturing engineering. Inspect (WIP) work in process and finished goods to a prescribed sampling plan implementing containment when needed and control of any found issues, assisting in RC/CA and validation of improvements in response to audits. Report out on findings thru performance metrics. Participate in SCAG new product introduction readiness reviews and provide input to mitigating product defects prior to production launch. Conduct Layered Process Audits designed to reinforce operator inspection, availability of tools for the operator to be successful, compliance to standard work instructions, correct revision of blueprint availability, within any applicable process parameters, maintenance checks being completed and the log filled out, gages are calibrated and program control. Communicate and reinforce expectations of STOP/FIX and lead by example. Use computer software programs to store, calculate, retrieve, and report on quality. Other duties as assigned.
