What you will be responsible for:
- Inbound Product Inspections:
- Perform thorough reviews, functional testing, and visual inspections on new and existing products to uphold quality standards. Prioritize testing for both categories, releasing compliant products into inventory or quarantining as needed. Maintain lab equipment and conduct audits for timely product releases.
- In-process Inspection:
- Audit finished goods in inventory to ensure vendor product quality. Record and report audit results, addressing customer-reported issues and communicating findings to Product Management and Product Quality groups.
- Data Entry, Inspection Reports, and Administration:
- Accurately record inspection results and prepare reports for Product Management, Product Quality, and Supply Chain groups. Manage the quarantine database, facilitating the release or further inspection of products. Your meticulous administration is crucial for maintaining quality control processes.
Essential Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience in MS Office including Excel and Outlook
- Some familiarity and experience with computer hardware products
- Ability to install and conduct tests on StarTech.com products (such as cables, I/O cards, data switches)
- Strong time management skills
- Have industry knowledge of quality processes, inspections, and test procedures.
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a Quality related role
- Post-Secondary Education or certificate in a Technology or Electronics related discipline
