If your goals and values align with Honda's, we want you to join our team to Bring the Future!About this Position: This position is responsible for overseeing our dealings with Safety Regulatory Agencies that have jurisdiction over our auto, powersports, and power equipment product lines and is responsible for on-going and future compliance strategies, as well as influencing rule-making that impacts the cost of compliance. Responsibilities include:· Coordinate response to defect investigations from NHTSA· Promote Honda's credibility with agencies· Promote regulatory positioning of product issues and investigations· Sense and influence future safety regulation· Collaborate with SED to create safety compliance strategies· Oversee quarterly TREAD reporting. Ensure on-going compliance through updating data sources and regular training/education of Business Units impacting data flow Who we are seeking:Required Work Experience:· 12 years of experience in automotive industry· Minimum 3 years of leadership and project management experience· Understanding of how regulations and laws are created, developed, approved, and implementedRequired Education:· Bachelor's degree in EngineeringDesired skills:· Knowledge of NHTSA & CPSC safety regulations · Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Project management skills.
