HF Sinclair is seeking a Product Scheduler who will conduct entry to mid-level assignments for the departmental planning and scheduling movements of products with close and frequent supervision.
Job DutiesAssists in handling crisis management for situations involving conflicts arising out of short-term or long-term refinery/logistical problems causing inventory shortages, refinery cutbacks, customer complaints, etc.
Assists with scheduling and coordinating monthly/daily inventory movement(s) on assigned transportation carriers and into the assigned refinery and at all trading points, including bulk and lease purchasing.
Assists with monitoring of assigned inventories which may include daily monitoring of product movements, and inventory positions communicating with appropriate departments, and optimizing assigned inventories.
Assists in monitoring and balancing exchange balances with trading partners.
Tracks exchanges, receipts, and exchange balances.
Works with the Tank Farm Manager at the assigned refinery to manage tank levels outside and inside the Refinery.
Assists in analyzing bill of lading (BOL) as needed to resolve measurement disagreements with customers.
Enters product scheduling, nominates appropriate transportation carriers, and enters volumes into the assigned system.
Works with third-party pipeline companies and/or carriers on tariffs, expansion, or other policy matters that affect HF Sinclair as it relates to the assigned product inventory.
Takes ownership in the movements of assigned product inventory to an appropriate refinery to maximize refinery profits.
Ensures contract obligations are fulfilled.
Reviews and ensures the accuracy of contract information in the assigned system.
Ensures accuracy of all invoices and cumulative balances are kept at a minimum.
Manages and maintains good working relationships with customers, exchange partners, suppliers, and/or third-party personnel, working with traders and schedulers to maximize product movements and values for the Company depending on assigned crude inventory and refinery
Resolves service issues with common carrier pipelines.
Maintain good working relationships with the transportation carriers, customers, and/or trading partners
Maintains positive and productive working relationships within the department and with other departments.
Maintains close communication with the Manager and other key personnel, keeping them informed of conditions, activities, and trends in areas of responsibility that may have an impact on the business and work closely with the Manager to capture market values.
Represent the company at industry scheduling functions.
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion.
A minimum of 1 year of job-related and industry experience is required.
Education LevelAn Associate's degree, in a technical or related field, or equivalent years of work experience in lieu of a degree, is required.
Preferred Education Level:
A Bachelor's Degree in business or related field is preferred.
Required SkillsAbility to perform a variety of assignments as they relate to the marketing department and multi-task. Basic to intermediate computer skills particularly in MS Excel to provide written reports and spreadsheets as well as the ability to learn new programs. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication; customer service is necessary to create mutual respect with peers and a positive work environment. Basic knowledge of safety, environmental, and transportation regulations and procedures, and capable of writing effective instructions. Ability to maintain positive and productive working relationships within the department and with other departments. Intermediate reading and writing skills; ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations.
Preferred Skills:
ECC functional/end-user experience preferred. SAP SD/MM, TSW knowledge is preferred.

Work ConditionsOffice-based with up to 30% travel by land and air required. Subject to all weather and varying road conditions.
