Job Description:

We have an outstanding Contract position for aProduct Shipping/Receiving Clerkto join a leading Company located in theVista, CAsurrounding area.

Pay/Salary Rate is $ 21.67/HR

**US Citizenship is required.**

Responsibilities :

+ Performs a combination of manual andclerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse

+ Uses a computer system for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting

+ Follows shipping practices and procedures, transportation routing, schedules, and requirements

+ Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment

+ (Un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc

+ Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on the system; processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations

+ Performs non-routine tasks which may involve some use of judgment and initiative in the shipping and receiving of materials, supplies, and equipment

+ Under general supervision, prepares record of goods shipped and received and bill of lading, posts weights, and shipping charges, and maintains shipping record files

+ May operate forklift and prepare goods for final shipment

+ Under limited supervision

+ Receives some instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments

+ Uses professional concepts to solve a variety of problems

+ Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where limited judgment is required

+ Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained

+ Decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules

+ Interacts daily with supervisor, peer groups, and internal and external customers

+ Interaction normally involves the exchange or presentation of factual information

+ May serve in a lead role and train others

+ Normally receives some instruction on routine work, general instruction on new assignments

+ Having some knowledge and experience, able to handle unusual job events

+ Choice of action requires more than common sense in that some training and experience is needed before knowing what to do under special circumstances

+ Above-average communication skills

Basic Hiring Criteria :

+ High school education or equivalent and 3 years of related experience

+ Stockroom experience that includes receiving, putting away, kitting, cycle counting, and shipment of various materials

+ Good data entry skills are required to accurately complete daily transactions as required

+ Material Handling experience using various handling equipment (e.g.: forklifts) to move material throughout Manufacturing locations

+ Stockroom and Warehouse experience, good math skills, and interpersonal skills

+ Candidate must be able to work both independently and with a group in moving material to and from work cells

+ Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Desired Qualifications :

+ Receiving and Shipping experience

+ Good understanding of Material Control and Movement processes and data entry skills

+ Familiar with the use of material handling equipment including forklifts
