Job Description:
Are you an energetic sales minded professional in the Power industry looking for a change or new career opportunity to move our customers' performance forward? This position will have the overall product management responsibility for power and recovery boiler auxiliary equipment spare parts. You are the primary sales and technical contact for spare part products. In this role, you will focus on promoting, selling, and implementing the overall business strategy and individual product strategies for the power and pulp & paper industries. You will also provide technical sales support to our Valmet sales network for our products and their application with the customer. In your daily work, you will promote and sell our products by identifying new customers, developing customer relationships, and pursuing sales leads. You are the key to ensuring that our customers get the right solution in place to keep them moving forward. Your high level of quality awareness, service mindset, and sales competency will ensure strong partnerships with our customers. You will also get to put your business skills to the test by managing specific products within the Energy Spare Parts offering; building business, sales, and marketing plans in order to achieve the financial performance of the product. You will be the product expert by understanding product applications and benefits as well as having competence in product costs, competitive market pricing, risk analysis, outsourcing options, and production needs. Expectations: You are the right person for this role if you enjoy building relationships, but also have an entrepreneurial spirit to drive results. Technical application ability in the industry is also required. Key indicators of success in this role include:
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university; or a suitable combination of education and work experience
  • 5 years of industry experience in power and/or pulp and paper
  • Experience in customer relations
  • Experience around boilers and familiarity with associated mechanical equipment
  • General mechanical aptitude
  • Experience sourcing and working with fabricators and suppliers
  • Effective written and oral communication skills in English along with presentation, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • High energy and ability to work autonomously when needed
  • Good organizational skills and business acumen
  • Proficient in business applications including MS Office and ERP systems
  • High level of general computer proficiency and ability to learn and navigate new software systems
  • Must be able to read and interpret detailed drawings
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
