Job DetailsJob Location Brighton Bldg A - Brighton, MI Remote Type Hybrid DescriptionMISSION: The Product Specialist is responsible for managing the system implementation of a product's lifecycle from launch to obsolescence. This function will update the ERP system for new part setups and product revisions with all data required. The Product Specialist will track turnaround time of part setups and revisions in process, work closely with Customer Experience, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Engineering to ensure information is provided promptly. OUTCOME: Coordinate, validate, and execute product updates in organizational ERP system.
  • Upon kickoff from Customer Experience, begin product launch through identifying system requirements by product, engage relevant stakeholders and configure setups based on business needs
  • Complete systematic part lifecycle management: Part Setup, Part Supersessions, Part Revisions & termination part process
  • Educate team members on basic system utilization and conduct additional user training
OUTCOME: Monitor turnaround time for product setup activities
  • Regularly communicate progress of product setups and promptly address issues for seamless product launch.
  • Utilize a reliable task management tool with clear milestones and deadlines to track progress of responsible parties; regularly review progress and promptly address any bottlenecks to ensure efficiency
  • Provide prioritization with regular reporting to adjust priorities as needed to optimize workflow
  • Deploy escalation process for ensuring timely product setup for all associated departments as needed
  • Successfully meet determined deadlines and administer team accountability
OUTCOME: Ensure ERP system data integrity
  • Review data submissions and ensure data entry meets Kem Krest standard in ERP system
  • Follow and apply established validation rules for require fields in ERP system
OUTCOME: Complete existing product revision changes (If assigned)
  • Review Revision Requests and determine required process flow to route request through
  • Route Revision and termination of items in existing product catalog through applicable teams
  • Communicate recommended production deviations to Quality team
  • Route Artwork creation and artwork approval tasks
  • Uphold team accountability with tracking turnaround times for task completion, if needed, escalate late task(s) to management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree - Business or related field required; related work experience may be substituted for education and vice versa.
  • Experience managing OEM projects, programs, and/or product development is highly beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (primarily Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and Word) and project management software.
  • Ability to analyze data, think critically, problem solve, and focus on proactive activity to prevent quality issues.
  • Ability to travel as needed up to 15%
  • Demonstrated experience in full product development cycle supported by routine project management workflows and tools
  • Successful experience with deadline project coordination
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of associates throughout the organization, verbally and in writing.
  • Experience using ERP systems required (Microsoft Dynamics D365 is a plus).
