As a Product Specialist the successful candidate will be creating new and maintaining existing products to individual customer specification. They will also effectively interface with the customer service team, customers, product testing agencies, purchasing, quality and production teams to best satisfy customer needs. Establish and develop relationships with customers. Develop new products based on sales/marketing information and industrial certifications. Essential Functions Including, but not limited to,
- Provide EIS Sales with Cost Estimates on customer RFQ's on products and work with customers to ensure they receive the best product for their needs
- Writing specifications (BOMs and Routings), design for manufacturing
- Maintain ERP and design files daily
- Maintain and adjust materials and work center costs as needed
- Create customer specifications for new products
- Communication with customers on product design & capability
- Maintain customer cross references and drawings
- Interacting with UL, CSA, MSHA on new and current approvals and develop in-depth knowledge of UL, CSA and MSHA
- Communicate with suppliers on material capabilities
- Design and test/troubleshoot new product lines
- Control of Engineering Change Notice process
- Develop and Improve processes throughout the plant
- Work Closely with Cost Accounting & IT
- ECN Processing
- Travel may be required
