Air Distribution Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Product Specialist to support their grilles, registers, and diffusers products. The Product Specialist assists customers by providing product knowledge, product compatibility layouts utilizing Autodesk Inventor 3D modeling software, pricing assistance, and overall customer satisfaction. The Product Specialist takes on additional business development responsibilities as required in support of the National Sales Manager and Director of Sales.
What You'll Do
- Responsible for customer purchase order execution, internal pricing clarification, customer change order write-up and pricing, order write-up for order entry, addressing of customer concerns during fabrication, arranging for special freight, and resolving of disputes regarding quality and/or incorrect invoicing of orders.
- Support competitive product research initiatives to inform new product development projects by analyzing competitive pricing, performance, features, and accessories, as well as identifying strengths and weaknesses relative to competitors.
- Review technical documents such as drawings, plans, schedules, engineering specifications, and other customer documents to develop and prepare detailed cost estimates and accurate submittal drawings.
- Contribute to marketing efforts by preparing PowerPoint presentations and other materials for customer-facing events.
- Provide technical support to clients, offering guidance on the use, operation, and maintenance of products sold.
- Collaborate with business development, production, and engineering teams, ensuring alignment between customer-specific requirements and manufacturing capabilities.
- Communicate with potential and existing customers to identify and define specific needs required for product compatibility, coordinating these requirements across internal departments for execution
- Provide precise 2D and 3D drawings to verify product form, fit, and function for customer approval.
- Engage in continuous learning to enhance product and process expertise through cross-functional meetings, plant visits, training seminars, and similar professional development activities.

What We Look For
- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university
- In lieu of bachelor's degree, at least 3 years of related HVAC or OEM industry experience.
- Proficient in Autodesk Inventor, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe editing software.
- Strong problem solving, market research, and analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and government regulations.
- Ability to calculating figures and amounts using basic concepts of algebra and geometry, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Approximately 20% or less travel required.
Preferred
- 1+ year of related experience in the HVAC industry preferred
- 1+ year of related experience in OEM industry
Working Environment
The work environment is primarily in a professional office setting with standard office equipment and a climate-controlled, atmosphere designed for productivity.
