What you will do:

The Product Support Liaison will support the Manager of Screw Compressor Engineering by providing in house technical support and guidance for the manufacture of development projects, and existing designs. Responsibilities for the position includes assisting senior engineers with the development, and testing for rotary screw compressors and their sub-assemblies. The successful

candidate will also provide technical support to purchasing and manufacturing, legacy product support, and new product implementation.

How you will do it:

  • Initial point of contact for manufacturing issues related to screw compressors.
  • Provides disposition of parts and subassemblies that do not meet drawing requirements, and escalation as necessary.
  • Generates detailed drawings for compressor assembly tooling and fixtures.
  • Generates detailed drawings for compressor run test tooling and fixtures.
  • Generates detailed assembly instruction drawings where needed.
  • Interfaces with vendors to obtain quotes, and generate purchase requests for assembly fixtures and tooling.
  • Assists manufacturing with assembly of prototype compressors, and support production assembly as necessary.
  • Provides compressor work instruction development guidance to manufacturing engineers.
  • Provides support to Engineering Test Lab personnel with development of support equipment for test stands.
  • Assist in return compressor evaluation and disposition of parts, and reporting.
  • Adhere to the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.

What we look for:

A qualified candidate must have a good understanding of theories, concepts, technical principles and processes related to mechanical and electrical aspects of compressors. He or she must demonstrate proficiency in mechanical design and be able to conceptualize and implement design ideas that ensure the product can be produced and tested efficiently.

  • 10 plus years' experience in compressor design field
  • Demonstrate a high degree of mechanical aptitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of AutoDesk design software or an equivalent package.
  • Strong Personal Computing ability with capabilities in MS Office Suite, etc.
