Job Description:

CHEMetrics, LLC located in Midland, VA and a subsidiary of AquaPhoenix Scientific, has an immediate opening for a first shift Production Associate. This is a full-time, 40 hour-a-week, hourly position working in a climate controlled environment that includes health and wellness benefits, bonus opportunities, PTO, holiday pay, 401(k) retirement match, and more. Our products are utilized in the industrial and commercial water treatment industry helping to sustain a cleaner, safer global water supply. The Production Associateplays a critical role in our production operations and is vital to our success. Key responsibilities of this important role include:

  • Manufacture and/or assemble a variety of standard products, finished goods, and subcomponents to quality and customer specifications.
  • Perform basic pre-production tasks that can include machine set up and preparation, staging and preparation of raw materials, and work cell arrangements.
  • Support basic production tasks by rotating to various workstations.
  • Group finished products and place/pack into appropriate packaging.
  • Act as first line of product inspection taking ownership of the quality and integrity of components and finished goods.
  • Capacity to remain physically active, using general repetitive motions that include an ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, lift, and twist throughout an 8-hour day.
  • Accurately and efficiently perform tasks by working as a team to execute daily production goals.
  • Demonstrate a positive work ethic and communicate effectively to support a collaborative work environment.
  • Safely carry, lift, transport, and/or push up to 25lbs periodically through the shift. On rare occasion team lift up to 50 lbs. as necessary.
  • Wear appropriate PPE as required by Company and OSHA standards.
  • 6S workstations and make recommendations for efficiency and waste reduction.
