We'd love to have you on our team! The Production Artist is responsible for converting and translating customer submitted artwork into a press compatible format. The Production Artist maintains an effective and efficient workflow from the point the artwork is scheduled to the proof stage. Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Create production art, line extensions and prepping jobs for assembly based on client requirements (preflighting, typesetting, image placement, layout, spot color adaption, etc.)
- Output production proofs depicting final layout for customer approval
- Design all files according to the requirements of the press it will run on; including press marks, color correction, etc.
- Make independent judgment in graphic assembly of working art files; analyzing needs and product requirements to create a final press-ready file
- Maintain an effective comprehension of calibration, profiling and workflow procedures
- Proofread all work including customer proofs and final files
Qualifications Include:
- 2-3 years' experience in packaging graphics, design and/or prepress
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite knowledge (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
- Deep understanding of major printing methods (Flexo, Gravure, Offset) and CPG industry
- Graphics production technology background or experience, a plus
