The Expo Group is seeking a Production Artist to prepare and finalize artwork for print, ensuring client specifications, quality standards, and deadlines are met. Based in Irving, Orlando, or Las Vegas, this onsite role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with project managers, clients, and internal teams to bring designs to life.In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and internal teams to ensure design specifications, quality standards, and deadlines are met.
- Input customer's copy into templates and style guides provided by graphic designers.
- Modify templates for special requests or size adjustments.
- Determine the placement, size, and visual hierarchy of visual elements.
- Select appropriate fonts, text sizes, and styles according to style guides or client preferences.
- Review and proof artwork for accuracy and make corrections as necessary.
- Assess the quality of visual elements to ensure they meet high standards when viewed at full scale.
- Work with project managers to ensure proofs are reviewed, edited, and finalized.
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently divide proofing tasks when working on the same project.
- Track timelines and ensure deadlines are met for design projects.
- Assist with graphic design or special projects as needed.
- Be available for on-call hours to assist with on-site orders or show-specific needs.
What You Bring to The Expo Group:
- Educational Foundation: Associate's degree in Graphic Arts or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: At least 3+ years of on-the-job experience without a degree, or 1+ years of intern experience or on-the-job experience with a degree.
- Skills: Strong proofreading, typesetting, and attention to detail, with good spelling and grammar. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), and basic knowledge of print production processes.
- Certifications: Adobe Creative Suite certification (Illustrator, Photoshop) required upon hire or may be obtained after hire.
- Preferred: Experience in the tradeshow industry and bilingual skills (not mandatory).
