We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segments. The Production Assembler- 2nd Shift role offers a full time work week of 40 hours and potential overtime. Hours: 1:45pm-10:15pm. Full Benefits and 401k plan is offered to you day one of employment. You will also be given a $500.00 retention bonus to be paid out after 3 months of employment.The hourly rate for this position is $22.50 per hour. Comes with a $1.00/hour shift-differential.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you'll do:The Assembler will timely and accurately build sub-assemblies and assemblies to customer specifications involving complex and repetitive wiring and mechanics for Power Distribution Units (PDU), and Transformers.In this function you will:Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build sub-assemblies and assembliesUse cranes to pick up, and move transformers and materialsBe responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assemblyUse various fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair productPerform point to point wiring during the assembling of Power Distribution UnitsWork with sheetmetal to build transformer legs and additional components related to transformer assemblyInspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goalsAdhere to company, environmental, health, safety rules and regulationsProvide process and safety improvement ideasEnsure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesQualifications:Required (Basic):Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the futureNo relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitationPreferred:High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institutionExperience in production, packaging or constructionPrevious experience with standard operating proceduresPrevious experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance and/or repairBasic working knowledge and experience with computersSkills:Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facilityAbility to read and interpret standard operating procedures, wiring diagrams and bills of materialAbility to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex/train in different areas as neededAbility to lift, push and pull 40 lbsAbility to use a crane once fully trained to lift itemsAbility to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this positionAbility to use hand tools and other machines to manipulate metal and or wire
