The Assembly Coordinator will be responsible for managing the general assembly production of the Turbo lines during shift(s) assigned and to ensure the standard operating/production control procedures, safety, quality control, cost, delivery and continuous improvement initiatives of the designated area are as followed.The Assembly Coordinator is accountable for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters. They will participate with management on performance measures to drive continuous improvements.A high level of responsibility is required of the Assembly Coordinators because the safety, productivity and the personal confidentiality of their team reflects on their ability to lead.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Work safely at all times and ensure quality from all team members.Facilitate communication between all MTEA departments, support staff and worldwide customers as necessary.Practice/follow all Quality Assurance requirements and internal procedures.Create Production reports, standards, and procedures.Understand / Follow work instructions and be able to audit for correctness.Maintain department housekeeping 5S standards and promote adherence by all associates.Create, develop or maintain and promote production reports, standards, procedures and projects as assigned, tracking actions and the results towards continuous improvement. Lead cross functional development team to ensure schedules are maintained for responsible projects and set priorities to align with department goals and objectives.Assist in daily planning/scheduling.Meet daily production goals efficiently.Maintain associate training records, data base.Participate in continuous improvement activities.Promote teamwork to improve associate relations with encouragement to be pro-active.Communicate from the local databases as necessary using such tools as e-mail, Computer data.Perform teardown inspection process and measurement at the MTEA facility and document the findings.Actively engage Engineering and Maintenance as required to maintain line throughput. Monitor, assist, record and report activities in reports and to management.Work in conjunction with the Production Engineering Dept.Co-ordinate development of new and existing turbocharger production lines.Co-ordinate product launch activities utilizing APQP principles.Co-ordinate production and evaluation of development turbocharger samples.Assist validation testing and provide first hand assessment of technical issues.Mandatory overtime may be required including Saturday and Sunday as scheduled.Perform other duties as assigned by MTEA Management.Requirements:Associate Degree preferred; a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.Minimum 5 years manufacturing preferred with assembly process experience.Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing supervisory/leadership role(s) preferred.Familiarity with ISO standard quality control principles with TS/IATF 16949 a plus.Strong interpersonal skills.Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Power Point and Excel.Ability to travel as required. ie visit customer/vender locations to provide technical support, MHI for new product launch or improvement projects, etc.Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time throughout the shift and overtime as assigned.Ability to move inside the production and/or office areas to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds, occasionally move, push and/or pull skids, racks and/or dunnage throughout production and staging areas.For more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
