Production Associate I/AssemblerImmediately Hiring!Syosset, New YorkThe Production Associate I will work in our factory, and is responsible for assembling final products such as piston/liner assemblies, pump heads, motor assemblies, and pump drives partially or completely, working at bench or on factory shop floor.Major Accountabilities/Key Performance IndicatorsPositions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or by following work instructions and drawings, keeping quality of product at the highest level.Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, glue or other fasteners. Performs other procedures required to assemble or fabricate company products.Performs in-process quality checks to ensure products meets quality standards, and documents on Quality Control form. Prints customer part number labels and serial numbers.Supports and maintain 5S initiatives such as cleanliness, safety, etc.Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures. Assumes accountability for performing assembly per Work Instructions.Performs additional duties as requested by management. May be required to work overtime to meet business needs.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:Must be able to read and understand Work Instructions/Standard Operating Procedures, and drawings. Ability to clearly communicate assembly/quality issues to management. Mechanically inclined, with manual dexterity and basic assembly skills. Collaborative, quality minded, and willing to learn new skills and be accountable for final work product. Basic computer skills. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; operate a computer; talk or hear; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
