PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE - Press Operator
The Production Associate in gel area is responsible for molding completed liners out of socks and gel. The associate is responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of all the forming equipment in the liner forming area and for ensuring that it meets all individual and team safety, productivity, and quality metrics daily.
This is a first shift position Monday - Friday, with guaranteed overtime. We offer a starting wage up to $18/hour + monthly incentives and full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO and other voluntary benefits. Onsite we have access to gym facilities, walking trails, disc golf, volleyball/basketball and pickleball courts.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Following company-specific safety procedures, maintaining a clean workspace
* Produce product with strict adherence to work instructions
* Dispenses proper material from mixer into liner socks
* Molds socks into liners
* Operation of all buffing and cutting equipment
* Operation of all TPE manufacturing equipment
* Ensures equipment is running in compliance with work instructions and SOP's
* Meet individual and departmental production goals and efficiencies
* Ensures liners meet all quality standards
* Transfers completed liners to the QA position for inspection
* Troubleshoot any non-conforming product being produced and adjusts within allowable process parameters to eliminate it
* Performs basic preventative maintenance on forming equipment as required
* Ensures that enough raw materials are present at the forming stations to meet production goals
* Efficiently produce product in all areas of off the shelf and design liner manufacturing
* Pre-stretching of liners when specified on order
* Other cross-functional duties as assigned by the department supervisor
Essential Skills Required:
This position requires basic computer skills, math skills and mechanical aptitude. The associate should be detail oriented and able to follow written and verbal instructions in manufacturing and be capable of working with minimal supervision in a team or individual environment.
Essential skills include:
* Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
* Good mechanical aptitude with experience or provable familiarity /exposure using hand tools in an industrial setting
* Ability to read and follow technical instructions
* Highly motivated with ability to work in a team environment or as an individual with limited supervision
* Basic computer skills consistent with a manufacturing and HMI environment including production data entry for tracking
* Knowledgeable and comfortable with calculating percentages, ratios, addition, subtraction, and fractions
* Proven ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities
