Benefits Available!Weekly Pay! $17.50/Hour Shift Details: 6:15 AM - 2:45 PM DESCRIPTION:The Production Associate position is an hourly position, and reports to the Shift SupervisorThe contractor works at presses, assist machine operators, removes parts from press, separates parts from scrap, assembles parts, stacks or packages parts and operates equipment.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices, and proceduresThis includes the proper use of personal protective equipment when requiredRegular attendance is essentialWorks in a team environment ensures helpers understand their role, knows what precautions are necessary and location of emergency stop buttonsUnderstands and interprets company work orders and job control proceduresWorks efficiently and accurately to achieve and maintain 100% of goalGets or requests materials needed, assembles totes, prepares skids, bags and boxes for packagingPackages specific number of parts on skids, in bags, boxes, etc., labels them, stacks bags of parts on racks, or in appropriate packaging and moves totes/skids of parts to a storage area or to the next operationEnsures that safety devices are in place and reports any unsafe behavior or situationIs aware of activities in working surroundings and is responsible for keeping the area clean, tidy, and safeOther tasks as assigned by LeaderJOB REQUIREMENTS:SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Must have ability to read/write and interpret documents (safety rules, operating/procedure instructions, blueprints, etc..)Must have ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervision and managementMust have the ability to do basic mathematical calculationsMust have the ability to use a tape measureEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Must be at least 18 years oldMust have a high school diploma or equivalent3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTStanding/walking for 8 12 hours at a timeExposure to noise is usually moderateBending, twisting and turningFull use of both hands to handle, feel objects, tools, controls, etc.Close and distance vision abilitiesRegularly works near moving mechanical partsDress Code (attached here as well)Wear your steel toe/composite boots or shoes, client Corning will provide you with all other PPE required for the job.Wear long pants (any form of pants from waist to ankle, pants must be free from holes greater than 1 in diameter), shirt sleeves should be a minimum of 4 inchesEmployees wearing a beard, must be no longer than 2 from the chin or a beard cover must be worn.PPE requirements:Bump Cap (plastic piece that is inserted into your hat to protect your head, similar to a safety helmet but not as bulky) Company ProvidedGloves Company ProvidedSleeves (depending on the job that they are performing) Company ProvidedSteel toe / composite toe boot or shoe Temps responsibility to bring on their first
