They handle kitchen and packaging duties, operate equipment, and collaborate with the team, emphasizing attention to detail and teamwork.Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment safely per the manufacturer's guidelines for popcorn production.
  • Maintain Food Safety and Quality standards.
  • Meet daily production goals efficiently.
  • Report safety and quality concerns to management.
  • Communicate challenges or workflow changes to Lead.
  • Perform heavy lifting and repetitive tasks.
  • Follow recipes and food safety guidelines.
  • Operate popcorn equipment safely.
  • Assist team members and multitask as needed.
  • Transfer finished product for packaging.
  • Ensure product quality and report issues to Asst. Production Manager, Leads and Production Director.
  • Assist with station setup, breakdown, and cleaning of equipment.
  • Complete required documentation accurately.
  • Monitor equipment and report malfunctions.
  • Rotate to different departments if required.
  • Communicate with Managers/Leads for support and training.
  • Attend safety and team meetings.
  • Accept and apply feedback effectively.
  • Adhere to safety and attendance policies.
  • Maintain professional communication with team.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
RequirementsQualifications
  • Food prep experience is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrates company culture and values, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Strong preference for production or manufacturing experience.
  • Positive attitude and team player mentality.
  • Ability to multitask calmly and efficiently.
  • Problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing systems.
  • Willingness to learn and operate production equipment effectively.
  • Accurate record-keeping skills.

Physical DemandsExtensive physical exertions which includes but are not limited to:
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs as needed
  • Repetitive bending, lifting, and hand/arm movements
Measured Metrics and Review ScheduleYour first review will be 90 days after your start date, then a six-month check-in and a development review annually in January for the duration of your employment. If the results of a review are unsatisfactory, more frequent reviews may be scheduled to monitor improvements. If assigned improvement goals are not reached, a warning schedule may be implemented including the possibility of termination. During each review, your performance and ability to achieve the following metrics will be evaluated.
  • Production requirements are met, and daily tasks are completed as assigned by the managers
  • A consistent rate is maintained
  • Popcorn is made and finished to Poppy's standard of quality
  • Tool changes are conducted independently, with accuracy and consistency
  • Accurate production data is entered daily
  • Adherence to Poppy's safety protocols
  • Adherence to Poppy's Employee Attendance Policy
