Role Summary:The Test Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting R&D's New Product Development through rigorous verification and validation testing. This position requires a solid understanding of mechanical systems and testing methodologies, along with the technical ability to execute verification test protocols for new product designs. The Test Engineer works in a cross-functional environment, participating in the entire product development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to final product integration and testing.Key Responsibilities:
Product Testing & Validation:- Conduct test protocols for new product designs, including the Xcellerex X-platform bioreactors, ensuring that all product requirements are thoroughly verified and validated.
- Operate testing equipment with a strong adherence to measurement and testing best practices, including environmental testing, aging studies, data acquisition, tensile and load testing, and general diagnostics.
Data Analysis & Reporting:- Analyze test results and compile detailed reports summarizing findings, identifying potential issues, and making recommendations.
- Present findings to project teams and leads, clearly communicating results, deviations from expected outcomes, and areas of concern regarding product compliance and potential risks.
Collaboration & Troubleshooting:- Provide constructive feedback to the engineering team, including insights on test methods and suggestions for addressing any non-compliances observed.
- Actively engage in troubleshooting lab issues, working towards timely resolutions to minimize testing delays and ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in new product development or within the bioprocess industry, with hands-on experience in testing and validation.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in test equipment operation and measurement practices.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and generating meaningful reports.
- Familiarity with test diagnostics, measurement standards, and compliance protocols.
