Position Summary:The Production Associate is responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality processing of media, mesh, and elements in a manufacturing setting. This includes inspecting, cutting, staging, unstaging, and laying up dynalloy, fibermet, and continuous media rolls. The role also involves operating various production machinery such as rolling mills, hydrogen furnaces, and vacuum furnaces, while ensuring product quality and adherence to safety and environmental policies.
Key Responsibilities:Media and Equipment Handling: Inspect, cut, stage, unstaged, and lay up dynalloy, fibermet, and continuous media rolls. Operate large and small rolling mills, continuous hydrogen furnaces, and vacuum furnaces.Inspect, trim, and package media products according to established quality standards.Work Procedures and Instructions: Read and follow complex work procedures and schematics or receive verbal instructions regarding tasks. Ensure all duties are performed in accordance with safety and quality policies.Collaboration and Improvement: Work with team leads, engineers, supervisors, and managers to enhance quality and improve process efficiency. Compliance and Safety: Follow all EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) and Quality policies and procedures. Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and maintain a safe working environment.Other Duties:- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
Required Qualifications: Education and Experience: - High School Diploma/GED or local equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills:- Basic math and measuring skills (calipers and micrometers).
- Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
