As a Production Associate I, your role is vital in producing quality filtration products that are utilized in homes, offices, and even medial facilities. An eye for detail and a yearning to produce quality products is a necessityto help Filtration Group in promoting our mission of creating products that continue to make the world safer, healthier, and more productive.

Summary

Job duties may include the employee working on a bench, conveyor or on the floor, packing air filters in designated cartons according to customer specifications and company policies. This position requires employees to stand at designated work stations for the duration of the shift. Extended work days and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision, perform a variety of tasks requiring a good working knowledge of materials, tools, machines, and equipment, including, but not limited to folding, assembling, laying, or rolling stock, inspecting and cutting.
  • Immediately report to supervisor or group leader any unusual material, equipment problems or work conditions that would hinder operations, represent deviations from quality standards, good manufacturing practices or adversely affects safety standards.
  • Keep track of productions requirements as it pertains to packing i.e.
  • obtaining and setting up correct number of boxes for each customer's order
  • Completing simple math to ensure quality control (correct number of filters are in each box)
  • Must keep production log i.e. Keeping track of number of items packed in an hour vs. what is expected and or required.
  • Perform simple, routine, and repetitive tasks using standard procedures.
  • Maintain housekeeping in assigned work area at all times of line stoppage during production runs and at the end of the shift.
  • Perform all duties safely, wearing required personal protective equipment, such as: gloves, apron, safety glasses, back support, etc.
  • Must have basic computer skills (for printing labels)
  • Observe all safety rules and immediately report hazards to the supervisor.
  • Be punctual and at work daily.
  • Follow all company rules and regulations, per the Employee Handbook or department policy. Perform other duties as required.
  • Skills and Experience

  • Able to speak, read and write in English highly desired.
  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Able to work overtime on short notice.
  • Able to perform tasks in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Able to satisfy the physical, visual, and auditory requirements listed elsewhere in this job description.
