JOB SUMMARYUnder the direction of the Shift Supervisor, the Blow Molding Technician operates automated high speed floor machines which blow finished bottles from preforms.JOB DUTIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS•Monitor the bottle quality through the required quality testing, making process changes to ensure the highest quality bottle is blown, complete and accurate documentation of all testing. •Complete machine mold changeovers as dictated by the production schedule. •Perform preventative maintenance (pm) and minor repairs on machines as needed. •Monitor the Pressco Inspection System for quality trends that may require attention. •Monitor the Utility Equipment for alarms. •Monitor the Blow Molder to ensure a continuous supply of bottles to the filler.GENERAL FUNCTIONS•Stage and change out preform gaylords on the preform feed system as needed. •Perform warehouse equipment operator job functions in the Can Bay; this includes supplying empty containers to all production lines. •Complete all required paperwork at the end of each run while maintaining traceability paperwork for the preforms used. •Work with the Bottle Line Lead Person or Bottle Line Filler Operator for accurate bottle cutoffs. •Comply with all plant & food safety, FSMA (HACCP & HARPC), GMP and sanitation regulations. •Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures (5S) on machines and work areas. •Follow the production schedule with accuracy. •Notify the Shift Supervisor of any quality or Food Safety concerns.QUALIFICATIONS:•Lift up to 10 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. •Frequently climb stairs, reach above shoulders, bend and twist at waist. •Stand/walk and sit for extended periods of time. •Be able and available to work overtime as needed •Requires Forklift certification (current or ability to obtain within 30 days). •Requires ability to operate a computer terminal and machine HMI's (Human Machine Interfaces). •Requires fine manipulation to operate computers, HMI touch screens, & quality lab testing equipment. •Requires good mathematical skills. •Requires good and previously demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. •Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. •Must be a self-starter, team player and be able to work under minimum supervision. •Must be able to demonstrate the aptitude of new skills learned, retain that knowledge and effectively train others. •Attendance and disciplinary standing will be considered in the selection process.
