Job Description:
The Production Data Analyst is responsible for collecting and monitoring the creation of production data. Responsibilities include auditing the accuracy and timeliness of production data in the ERP system to ensure appropriate action is taken to maintain the integrity of the information. The Production Data Analyst will participate in process improvement exercises, as well as collect and report relevant data to management. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Audits production transactions to ensure they are made timely and accurately.
  • Conducts analyses designed to identify improvements in production operational efficiency.
  • Analyzes and determines insights from trends and operating metrics to inform critical department strategy and targets.
  • Monitors existent metrics, analyzes data to identify process and system improvement opportunities.
  • Designs and implements reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.
  • Participates in Kaizens.
  • Organizes, evaluates, interprets, and summarizes moderate to complex data. Prepares a variety of analyses, statements, and reports for management review; arranges for preparation of graphics or illustrations to include in research findings.
  • Investigate the cause for deviation to identify if a posting error or a process change has occurred.
  • Leads root cause analysis for posting errors and develops action plan to eliminate the root cause and appropriate production posting corrections.
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement.
  • Processes confidential data and information according to guidelines.
  • Follows safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience in a comparable role.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing operations environment.
  • Working knowledge and experience with SAP or comparable ERP system
  • Advanced problem solving, analytical, oral communication, planning/organizing, and technical writing abilities.
  • Experience working in teams.
  • Advanced experience with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.)

Must be able to work evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice. • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously. • Ensures that staff is contributing at maximum potential through rigorous hiring practices and an emphasis on training and development initiatives, including coaching and counseling direct reports in their performance and professional development, for approving the proposal of pay increases, hiring decisions and disciplinary actions. • Emphasizes ethical leadership and decision-making to protect Pelican's brand and reputation. • Establishes challenging, productive and achievable goals for direct reports; measure results by establishing checkpoints to track progress. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers). • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non- standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch). • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The approximate base compensation range is shown below. The actual offer may vary based on skills, experience and location.
