Location: Solomons,MD, USA
The Production Control Clerk performs relative maintenance administration functions (including logs and records). The PC Clerk shall be the focal point of all maintenance procedures and processes, and provide liaison to customers, internal and external. Compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Compiles and records production data from such documents as customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets, following prescribed recording procedures and using typewriter and other devices.
2. Calculates such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, and amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using adding machine or calculator.
3. Writes production reports based on data compiled, tabulated, and computed, following prescribed formats.
4. Maintains files of documents used and prepared. Compiles from customer orders and other specifications detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.
5. Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities.
6. Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.
7. Charts production, using chart, graph, or pegboard, based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel.
8. Sorts and distributes work tickets or material to workers.
9. Tracks labor and production hours and prepares reports to the Program Management team.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
* Must be able to obtain and/or maintain Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
* High school diploma or GED is required.
* Two (2) years of job related experience that demonstrates the knowledge required to perform duties of the position.
* Requires advanced capability operation application software including word-processing and spreadsheet programs.
* Must be able to process routine reports.
* Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
* Must be a Citizen of the United States of America.
* Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.
* Position may require travel.
* Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
* Must read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizational skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
