Description

Job Title: Production Control Clerk

Department: Facility Operations and Maintenance

Job Summary:

This position compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production. May perform any combination of the following duties: compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques. This Clerk calculates such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets. Additional tasks include: writing production reports based on data compiled, tabulated, and computed, following prescribed formats, maintaining files of documents used and prepared, and compiling detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers. This Clerk prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities, compiles material inventory records, and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies charts production using excel, charts and graphs based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel. This Clerk also sorts and distributes work tickets or material and may compute wages from employee time cards and post wage data on records used for the preparation of payroll.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Compiles and records daily production results utilizing documents including, but not limited to, service work orders, operations customer orders, and uploading requests for service and otherwise maintain the integrity of the data in the computerized maintenance management system

* Dispatch maintenance and custodial staff to respond to requests for service

* Closeout and upload work orders and other maintenance documents into the computerized maintenance management system

* Assist Project Manager with reporting requirements as needed

* Manage approved vendors lists and collect vendor performance data

* Receive vendor products, verify delivery, and coordinate distribution to staff

* Provide purchasing data to corporate accounting staff

* Plan/ Manage multi-tasks/projects forwarded through Management

* Follows prescribed recording procedures, using computer tracking systems and other devices.

* Calculates factors including, but not limited to, types and quantities of items, materials used, and frequency of defects

* Prepares government CDRLs as prescribed in the statement of work

* Maintains automated maintenance history files on equipment and source document files to support all reporting details

* Coordinates with co-workers to assure accurate and proper tracking of daily data

* Reviews and identifies mechanical inventory lists of actual property

* Prepares government CDRLs as prescribed in the statement of work

* Reconciles deviations in data

Required Skills/Abilities:

* Proficient in written and oral communication skills according to skill requirements

* Possess strong computer skills, able to read, write, and comprehend written instructional documents

* Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

* Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume

* Ability to apply concepts of introductory algebra and geometry

* Proficient Microsoft Office productivity suite

Education and Experience:

* High school diploma or equivalent

* At least two years of related experience required

Physical Requirements:

* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

* Occasional periods of prolonged exposure to loud noises

* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at times

* Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands as necessary

* Ability to hear and see to position and safety requirement levels

* Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals

Special Qualifications/Requirements:

* Must be able to successfully pass as required a federal, state, or local government's background investigation
