Job DescriptionThe Production Control and Planning Coordinator will plan, schedule, implement, and monitor production activities, ensuring contract requirements, product specifications, and deadlines are met.This position will serve our Water Heating Division located in Montgomery, AL.Responsibilities
  • Accurately enters information into system (Oracle ERP) and/or Excel spreadsheets by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on a keyboard.
  • Reads plant documents, such as production schedules, production reports and scrap reports and enters information in specific data fields using keyboard.
  • Verifies accuracy of provided data before it is entered.
  • Compares data with source documents to detect and correct recording and data entry errors and reports them to supervisors as needed.
  • Updates and maintains electronic and paper data records and work completed.
  • Adheres to organizational processes to maintain data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Looks for ways to improve data collection processes, including the design of forms and templates, for data entry.
  • Operates office equipment as needed to assist in data entry operations.
  • Compiles and analyzes data to create reports and graphs to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement.
  • Creating purchase requisitions to order production consumables items
  • Accurately prepares reports and maintains records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required, and coordinates the preparation, presentation, and communication of work-related information to the supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED, with minimum of 1-2 years' work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous data entry or clerical experience or experience working in an office setting required
  • Advanced Computer skills
  • Experience working with spreadsheets (Excel experience required)
  • Accurate typing and word processing skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, understand, and analyze a variety of production-related materials in order to recognize and correct discrepancies.
  • Experience with Inventory Control.
  • Adaptability, including the ability to learn and adhere to new processes as needed.
  • Active listening and communication skills.
  • Collaborative and able to work on a team.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Organizational skills and time management.
  • Tolerance for repetitive tasks.
  • Candidate must be able to perform continuous lifting of 25-60 lbs; Occasional lifting of 60+ lbs.
  • Candidate must be able to stand, walk and/or lift repetitively during shift.
  • Candidate must be able to lift in unsupported positions as well as bend, twist/turn, reach, push/pull.
  • Candidate may be exposed to high noise levels, heat, dust, and airborne particles.
  • Candidate will be required to wear all applicable Personal Protective Equipment appropriate for the work area.
