Production Control Coordinator

Job Description:

Located in Nashua, NH, the Production Control Coordinator shall be part of the team reporting into Operations. The Production Control Coordinator will use MACOM's ERP (SAP), and configuration management system (Agile) to help track and move work in process (WIP) from initial work order issuance through shipment. The coordinator will interface with material planning, stockroom, engineering, production personnel.

Responsibilities:

* Participation in daily Gemba, assuring success will be met as planned each day, and escalating risks as they occur.

* Analyzing inventory strategies and implementing them to secure no downtime due to material shortages, including updating scrap factors in the item master (kan ban, visual factory, min/max, safety stock).

* MRP/Planner Bench accuracy. This person will own WIP cycle counts and accurate inventory levels.

* Efficient material review board (MRB) processing

* Provides the operations team with a 13 week rolling sales and operating plan (S&OP) in alignment with the revenue strategy.

* Provides production status, weekly build plan updates, and escalates risks effectively.

* Assists in WIP movement on the shop floor as needed to maintain production flow, in accordance with the production schedule. Ensure personnel are transacting their operations within the enterprise systems and gives feedback to managers as needed for compliance/performance issues.

* Maintains WIP status (Work Orders) report with counts that align with Production Tracker. Identify discrepancies and work to resolve differences (scrap, rework, split lots). Facilitate slow/no moving WIP (aging).

* Helps stage material with associated work orders and any related documentation. Make sure that the material is moved safely and within the proper packaging.

* Works with Production Management and Materials Management/Planning to facilitate products availability and production readiness.

Attends and participates production meetings to be aware of schedules and any hot priority products.

* Reports material and quality issues back to Operation's management and materials group for reconciliation and to help with root cause and corrective actions.

* Maintains an active knowledge of all work in process to aid in providing a delivery status to our customers.

* Maximizes production through-put. Minimizes queue times. Helps maintain hardware flow to correct priorities.

* Assists in closing out open material transactions tied to work orders not completely processed.

Job Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a major related to production control or equivalent education and experience

* Minimum 5 years of experience in planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, finance, project management or a related field.

* Prior ERP and shopfloor control experience required. SAP experience required.

* Due to ITAR Regulations, candidate must be a US citizen or permanent resident.

* Experienced with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)

* Entrepreneurial spirit towards completing tasks and tackling projects.

* Self-starter who requires minimal supervision, works well with teammates, and has a results-based mindset and proven track record of success.

* Willingness and enthusiasm to take on aggressive goals and a commitment to achieve them.

* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with various disciplines.

* Works collaboratively with cross functional teams to improve processes. High energy, self-motivated, positive attitude with strong communication skills and an ability to interface effectively with different backgrounds and at every level of the organization.

* Must be a well-organized professional with the ability to work well under pressure.

* Understanding of ESD procedures and contamination control.

Desired Skills:

* Experience in Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing.

* APICS or PMP certification.

* Demonstrated understanding of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving.

* Knowledge of wafer, microelectronic and hybrid assembly processes and manufacturing processes such as wafer probe testing, wafer singulation, wafer cleaning and automated wafer pick and place.

* Experience in AS9100 manufacturing environments.
