Production Coordinator

Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented entry-level Production Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating purchase orders, fabric ordering and monitoring, and consumption tracking. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with our Central American manufacturing facilities to ensure timely and cost-efficient production.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Textile Management, or related field.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with international teams.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchase Order Management:

  • Generate, process, and track purchase orders for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with fabric suppliers.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order details and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchase orders, deliveries, and discrepancies.
  • Resolve any issues related to purchase orders in a timely manner.

Fabric Ordering and Monitoring:

  • Determine fabric requirements based on production schedules and forecasts.
  • Place fabric orders with suppliers, ensuring all specifications and quality standards are met.
  • Monitor fabric delivery schedules and manage inventory levels to avoid production delays.

Consumption Tracking:

  • Monitor fabric and material usage to ensure efficient consumption and minimize waste.
  • Maintain detailed records of fabric consumption for each production run.
  • Analyze consumption data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide reports on consumption metrics to management.

Collaboration with Central American Manufacturing Facilities:

  • Create, update, and distribute internal purchase orders
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our Central American manufacturing points of contact.
  • Monitor and ensure on time delivery to customers. Regularly coordinate with Logistics Team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of textile and garment production processes.
  • Experience in production coordination, supply chain management, or a related role in the apparel industry.
  • Understanding of purchase order management, fabric ordering, and inventory control.
