Job Description and QualificationsAmarr Garage Doors (a part of ASSA ABLOY - the global leader in access solutions)is hiring a Production Coordinator for our Concord, NC distribution center. This person in this role will playa crucial role in our dynamic team, overseeing and facilitating the training, tools, and materials needed to meet customer demand in the distribution center production area. This position requires meticulous adherence to company policies and procedures, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity.In this position you will:
  • Be responsible for work order creation, work order and production scheduling, and efficient completion of production activities including glazing, insulating, section cutting and custom section painting.
  • Control the workflow within the production area to meet efficiency targets, minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Ensure all safety policies are followed at all times, as well as conducting periodic safety training.
  • Coordinate production equipment maintenance and scheduling of down time, as well as perform production machine maintenance and repairs, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Ensure standard work procedures are being followed including quality audits, cleaning and maintenance schedules and material planning.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement to standard work procedures to improve quality or efficiency in all production processes.
  • Trains and serves as a coach to Team Members. Performs On-the-job training, as well as line and production orientation for new hires.
  • Records accurate data on production, labor, team members, and scrap on a timely basis. Ensures accuracy and availability of inventory and inventory management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two years' experience in mechanical maintenance.
  • Experience with pneumatic machinery is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience in manufacturing and inventory management.
  • Possess efficient and productive organizational, time management and analytical skills.
  • Possess mechanical competence and knowledge and use of safety conscious practices.
  • Experience driving box trucks with a DOT medical card preferred.
  • Must obtain a forklift license and certification within 45 days from hire date.
The Details:This position is full-time Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 4:30pm with occasional overtime.
