The Role A Production & Data Entry Associate will accurately and efficiently perform calculations and data entry to support the documentation process for our production activities and all associated quality control processes. This position supports members of the production team by providing constant assistance. As Production & Data Entry Associate, you will contribute to the Team's efforts in obtaining production efficiencies within company guidelines to include following the Health & Safety and Food Safety Programs. As an employee in this role, you will successfully support the company and its goals and your team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) records of daily production
- Responsible for counting, calculating, entering production data and able to accurately calculate results
- Responsible for updating and maintaining daily production totals and productivity
- Responsible for maintaining digital QMS records and entering data into digital daily scorecard
- Retrieve information from network drive as requested
- Ensure use of updated forms available on network drive
- Create digital copies of physical records by scanning and uploading, to computer, all production paperwork into appropriate files
- Adjust finished goods and raw materials as needed
- Conduct routine verification to ensure integrity of the network filing system
- Verify that each finished item meets quality standards of the company
- Inspect and ensure production goods, containers, and packaging materials meet company standards
- Gathers materials needed throughout the day
- Understand the weekly production schedule and communicate with production supervisors the daily run schedule
- Ensure daily productivity is completed efficiently and in a timely manner
- Ability to train others and demonstrate best practices
- Maintain clean workspaces and equipment to meet health and safety standards
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Company standards
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
- Must be reliable, dependable, punctual, on time, and adhere to company attendance policies
- Must work independently with little instructions.
- Must have people skills/be patient and communicate in a professional manner
- Demonstrate the ability to adjust, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a diverse fast-paced environment
- Ensure compliance with regulations, company policies, and procedures related to team member safety, and quality programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Conditions:
- Read, write, and understand simple instructions
- Perform mathematical functions e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and determining percentages
- Ability to work around moving mechanical parts and tolerate wearing mandatory protective devices when working in high noise level areas
- Attention to detail and effective time management skills
- Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
- Ability to communicate and work well with others in a team effort
- Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh 50 - 70 lbs
- Able to stand, lift, walk, reach, stoop, bend, smell, listen, speak, and see to perform the essential job duties
- Must be to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and stand for extended periods of time
- Able tolerate extreme temperatures (cold and/or hot conditions) and wet, humid environments
- Flexibility to work extended days and possible weekends, be available for call-backs
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent a plus or related experience
- Computer Experience
- Data Entry
- Ability to perform conversion calculations, unit of measure and other mathematical calculations a plus
- Microsoft 365 a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus
