Job DetailsJob Location TN - Springfield, TN Position Type Full Time Education Level 4 Year Degree Job Shift Day Job Category Engineering Description The Production Engineering position works closely with the Quality and Production departments to support production and process improvement activities. The position serves as a technical expert for production on all things process related and will routinely provide hands on training and guidance to production personnel. Success in this position will require the individual to maintain a high level of knowledge on a diverse range of products. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Ability to read and understand schematic drawings
- A high degree of competence in MS Office programs
- Read, write, and interpret documented production processes
- Ability to audit production processes and report findings
- Ability to productively work with every level of the organization
- Ability to identify and address production related concerns
- Knowledge of CAD software (ex: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Catia, SketchUp)
- Operational knowledge of common manufacturing best practices
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND WORK EXPERIENCE: Required:
- Combination of formal training and work experience in relevant technical field
- Mechanical ability and experience with common manufacturing equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Experience working within a defined process workflow
Preferred:
- Bachelors in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Science, or other relevant technical degree
- Experience working in a job shop environment
- Experience training others in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Laser inspection equipment
- Experience with 3D printing
