Position SummaryFairbanks Morse is looking for a Production Engineer to join our team. This production engineer will Reduce cost through NCR review and drawing updates/ ECR implementation on repeat NCR's. This will be accomplished through timely review of daily NCRs and interaction with operatorsfor improvement of trouble jobs.Improve velocity through collaboration with ME and purchasing teams for new and existing product lines and components.Principle Duties and Responsibilities* Review and disposition NCRs daily* Support production as needed, including troubleshooting issues on the floor* Prepare and update engineering drawings* Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to resolve issues and prevent reoccurrence* Support purchasing through product and supplier review* Create standard work with operator interaction to document FME best practice* Any other duties deemed necessaryQualifications, Skills and Educational Requirements* Education/Experience to be one of the three following.* BS in engineering or Diesel engineer degree* 10+ years at a diesel engine manufacturing plant as a supervisor or inspector preferred* US coast guard merchant mariners engineering license accepted as equivalent to BS in engineering* Up to 10% - Travel mostly domestic day trips, possibly an overnight trip as required could include: supplier visits, training or customer site visits.* Preferred someone who has built and run large medium speed diesel engines before* position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data. Therefore, to meet NOFORN requirement, you will have to provide proof of US Citizenship and attest that you do not have dual citizenship. Acceptable proof of US Citizenship is a US Passport, US Birth Certificate or Naturalization Certificate.* Regulations (EAR). Acceptable proof of this status includes a US Passport, Permanent Resident Card, US birth Certificate or Naturalization Certificate. Maintenance, including renewal, of licensing authorization is a condition of employment.
