TACG specializes in the manufacturing of automobile air conditioning compressors.
TACG is based in Pendergrass, Georgia. This position is on-site at TACG 1000 Valentine industrial Parkway, Pendergrass GA 30657.
Department Purpose:
To effectively lead department associates to execute daily production operations and apply TPS, 5S, JIT, and other Lean Manufacturing methods under a continuous improvement (Kaizen) philosophy. The Production Engineering Department focuses on the study of design, manufacturing processes and management of products; as well as optimizing production to maintain safety, quality, and make the process efficient and economical.
Logistics Optimization/Innovation Tech Purpose:
Support production engineering in daily tasks. Support and implement Kaizens to improve machine efficiency and defect reduction to stated TACG goals
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design or analyze operational solutions for projects such as transportation optimization, network modeling, process and methods analysis, cost containment, capacity enhancement, routing optimization
- Support plant wide parts handling applications that feed into and out of the production areas.
- Interface with suppliers, vendors, and consultants to achieve product development goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, safety, and logistics to align all activities and achieve overall business objectives.
- Conducting research to stay informed of advancements in logistics technology and best practices
- Assisting with data collection and analysis for logistics operations
- Supporting the design and implementation of logistics solutions
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives
- Utilizing advanced software and technology to troubleshoot logistical issues and optimize transportation routes
- Compose written reports of data collect from evaluation and present to department heads for thorough analysis of patient diagnosis.
Qualifications, Education, Experience, & Abilities:
- 2-year Technical Degree Preferred or 3-5 Yrs. working experience in a manufacturing support role.
- Proficient with or the ability to learn common industrial test equipment.
- Ability to present and train production on machine improvements.
- Intermediate Computer and Microsoft Office Skills.
