Job Description: Expeditor
Frequency: 4 visits per week @ 4 hours per visit
Duration: 3 - 6 months
Location: Simsbury, CT
Job Description
The ideal candidate should be able to understand the mechanical and electronics manufacturing process. The candidate will both expedite and track orders through production.
- Needs to be able to interact directly with the supplier in order to coordinate and schedule deliveries with the customer.
- This person will also interface with shop employees and drivers to best communicate job requirements and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are mandatory.
- Follow every part through manufacturing and make sure it moves along with the milestone schedule.
- Daily report out on supplier production progress and/or emergent issues.
- Participate in customer / supplier Teams calls as required.
Qualifications.
- Experience with electronics manufacturing very helpful
- Experience in Procurement / Supply Chain / Quality desired.
- Candidate must be able to work closely with supplier program managers and production personnel and communicate status back to the customer.
- Good verbal and written communication skills required.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for status tracking
