If this is your profile, we want to hear from you.The Sr. Supply Planner will monitor supply chain activities for a global Brand. This position will monitor and issue orders for Drug Product (DP) and Drug Substance (DS), ensuring accuracy of supply sites, inventory, and expiration dating. The Sr. Supply Planner will collaborate with Quality, Logistics, and other local and global functions, providing support to ensure ongoing uninterrupted supply, should any product supply for forecasting issues arise.
Essential Functions- Monitor and review DP and DS inventory.
- Update planning tool with latest forecast and production data.
- Issues weekly inventory and forecast accuracy report out of SAP for assigned Brand.
- Issues monthly inventory and transaction reports.
- Confirms orders for DP and DS match Scope of Work, for both scale and pricing.
- Issue Purchase Orders and Process Orders for semi-finished goods, ensuring the correct vendor is selected based on approved specifications.
- Reconciles invoices in SAP.
- Works with Logistics to move DP and DS to specified Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO).
- Recommends DP and DS batches for manufacturing use based on expiration dating.
- Assists with change control/updates to materials using Trackwise.
- Supports month end close process, reconciling inventory and planned receipts. Provides estimates on delays to production and delivery plans.
- Supports any new product launches, technical transfers.
- Assists in cross-functional and global meetings to support the Brand.
- Seek out and execute opportunities for continuous improvement within the Supply Chain Unit.
- Collaborate effectively with both internal and external partners.
- Assist in pharmaceutical planning activities
- Provide support and guidance for supply chain business processes.
RequirementsEducation:BA/BS, preferably in a Business or Supply Chain related field.Technical:
- 2+ years of experience in Purchasing, Demand Forecasting and/or Planning required.
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Biologics experience a plus
- Proficiency with innovative and collaborative applications/tools including but not limited to MS Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft O365 Applications.
- Experience with SAP, or ERP planning software, a plus.
