This position leads the initial assessment, repair, and troubleshooting of TVs to improve production efficiency. A person in this position needs to assess all defective units, tag them properly, and move them to the correct quality location. This position is the career path into quality technician roles in the Quality Department.The Repair Tech works closely with the production line leadership and other team associates on the line to identify defective products, report them in a timely manner, assess the level of defects and reports them to the quality department.Other responsibilities include:Repair and Trouble Shooting (65%)Ensure all repair information is logged into relevant system.Perform work requiring an entry-level knowledge of electrical/electronic theories and principles andprinciples of operation of electronic equipment.Investigate reported internal quality issues that are found to be supplier, production or process relatedand communicates those findings in a timely and accurate manner.Follows current work instruction and ensures adherence to the Quality Control Plan and related SOPs.Compares and reviews SOPs and BOMs to production work orders and raw materials during each line changeover.Maintains quality standards by inspecting and reporting defective incoming materials.Continuously evaluates manufacturing operations, suggests and implements improvements to achieveoptimum line efficiencies utilizing support functions when necessary.Verifies incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual inspections, rejecting andreporting non-conforming materials to line leadership, quality, warehouse and logistics management.Operates, troubleshoots, repairs, and changes over product in a timely manner to minimize downtimePassion for Element Electronics mission, vision, values and core pillarsLine Leadership Support and Training (20%)Be an effective team member by demonstrating positive, effective and respectful communication between team leaders, utilities, and operators.Assist in training and development of new department employees.Follow site escalation practices for line stoppages or breakdowns.Special Projects (10%)Complete special projects, keep work area clean and work independently as assigned by managementAll other duties as assigned by management (5%)RequirementsGeneral production operations knowledge.Technical knowledge is a must.
