DescriptionMack Industries is adding Production Laborers to our team in White Lake, Michigan. As a production laborer you earn as you learn through our Mastery Program. This position requires a working knowledge of power and hand tools, basic safety principles and a willingness to learn. Mack's production team works with our engineering and product development teams to produce high quality precast concrete products.Experience not necessary! This is an entry level position, Mack will train!Develop your skills as you advance through Mack's Mastery Program!Essential FunctionsProduce high quality precast concrete in accordance with engineered specificationsAbility to read and decipher blueprints and drawingsStrip and clean concrete forms and productsWorking knowledge of forklifts, bridge/gantry cranes and production equipmentMaintain a clean and safe work area (5S)Complete daily preventative equipment and tool maintenance as requiredWillingness to develop new skills and progress current skillsWillingness to assist other departments as neededRequirementsEducation and TrainingHigh School diploma or equivalentHeavy equipment certifications such as forklift and bridge/gantry cranes, not required but a plusMinimum QualificationsGeneral knowledge of construction, concrete and/or carpentry a plusForklift operation a plusAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to manage multiple operations at onceStrong written and verbal communication skillsAble to operate or learn how to operate power tools safely, accurately, and efficientlyAbility or desire to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranesEnvironment Conditions and Physical StrainConstruction environment, seasonal weather conditionsDue to the nature of the operation, the levels of noise, dust and dirt can be high.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., on occasionMust be able to stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to squat, crawl and kneel to complete tasksBehavioral TraitsWillingness to learn and develop skillsWillingness to work collaboratively within a teamCustomer focused, attentive and responsive.Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiativeShows good judgement in difficult situationsOrganized with attention to detailShows accountability for efforts and resultsThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
