DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Operate jackhammer, forklift, bobcatFollow appropriate work instructions to clean and upkeep all equipmentCut and install wood block outsSet up equipment used for casting bands and finishesProper placement of concrete on the bed to match the piece drawingsMonitor bed heat at computerLay out the bed with the proper dimensions on each piece drawing and for the overall length of the bedSet up the bed according to the specs on piece drawings including all form side reveals and bottom steel/platesResponsible for washing exposed aggregate (panels/full beds)Responsible for correct dunnage placement of finished product in yardGrind ends of panelsGrind clean pallet of bedScrape clean side forms and chamfer and oilCorrectly set clamp/hook-ups to panelDedication to safety, customer satisfaction, first time quality and efficiencyResponsible for calling attention to any problems with finishCompliance to the “Fabcon Way” – “Every single day a little better than the day before”Basic Qualifications:Other Required Qualifications:Ability to read tape measure, cast book and blueprintsGood communication and teamwork skillsAbility to operate machinery safelyAbility to work extensive overtime when requiredTrouble shooting skillsKnowledge of concrete mixesMathematical aptitudePreferred Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDPhysical Requirements:Plant/Yard: Move minimum of 50lbs., spatial awareness/depth perception, walk, climb, bend at the waist, reach, forceful use of hand tools, vocal projectionWork Environment:Plant/Yard: All types of weather conditions (year-round, Mid-west and Northeast), dirt/dust, noise from heavy machinery/vehicles, vibrations from machinery and vehicles, loud noises, little to no climate control, varying amounts of light, stairs, narrow walkwaysEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
