Job Description:

POSITION OBJECTIVE:Coordinate and monitor daily production for the machine process. Assist in ensuring that acceptable production rates are maintained, and customer dates are met. Serve as the first level of supervision for the Production Associates and Machine Operators. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure that all necessary supplies are continuously available for productionResponsible for machine/production line set-ups, change overs, and machine process set-upVerify that the correct packaging material is in useCorrect all workstations errors as quickly as possible and be able to make minor adjustments and repairs on machines to keep the process operationalMonitor expected job rate hourly for productivity purposesWork with Quality to report defective products or packaging and ensure quality requirements are being metAccurate knowledge of production orders and labor allocation forms are requiredEnsure that workstations and daily orders are ran smoothly and are working properly to ensure effective and efficient completion of daily ordersAssist with training and mentoring employees how to perform their expected tasksCorrectly complete the necessary paperworkEnsure that the production floor is a safe environment, free from hazardsSeek continuous improvementsOther duties as assignedRequirementsEDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or GED1-2 years supervisory experience preferred1-2 years manufacturing experience preferredOn the job training providedSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:Knowledge gained through on the job training of company products, policies, and proceduresAbility to pay close attention to detailSkill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the jobSkill in multitasking and time managementAbility to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departmentsAbility to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidentialAbility to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP's, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defensePHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communicationMust be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workersMust be able to reach, touch, graspMust be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of timeMust be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull and pushMust be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor.Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products. Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 35 poundsTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:0% - Optional travel may be offered to support business needsSalary Description $21.50 per hour
