JPI operates as a subsidiary of Sumitomo Forestry, which is recognized as one of the largest home builders in the United States.The JPI Production Lead is a key member of the JPI site team and is relied upon by both our insourced trades and trade partners to oversee and coordinate the work that they do. They are experts in JPI production methodologies, including work packaging, off-line pre-assembly, sequencing, and Takt-based productivity optimization.Production Leads take control of the production plan for a given scope of Layers and Sequences. They give clear, minute-by-minute direction to the trade crews so that they are free to focus on doing the best work they can.Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Review and understand project execution plans before being deployed on projects.
  • Oversee and deliver Induction Training to Trade Partner crews prior to them commencing work on the site.
  • Execute Project Takt plans for assigned layers, maintaining defined pace required per project execution plan.
  • Ensure implementation of QA/QC and safety processes, as well as completing daily checklists
  • Monitor and manage productivity; track and report on daily (or as required) basis.
  • Oversee materials management and logistics: materials on time and in place.
  • Assist with additional record-keeping, meetings, reports as required.
Non-Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in the military, performing technical and leadership roles
  • 3-5 years of experience in a site operational/assembly-based roles
  • Construction related experience is not essential.
  • Is an effective communicator, with good interpersonal skills with people from all backgrounds
  • High tendency towards task completion and adherence to deadlines
  • Able to analyze information, identify key facts, and draw conclusions
  • Evidence of initiative and leadership when required to make something happen
  • Demonstrates or has a history of practical/hands-on skills.
