Position: Production LeadReports to: Director of Architecture and Public SpaceDirect Reports: NoDivision: Architecture and InstallationFLSA Status: Full-time, Hourly, Non-ExemptWage Range: $32 - $34 per hourWork Hours: 25-35 hours per weekHybrid Option: NoPosition SummaryThe Frye Art Museum seeks a Production Lead. The lead will assist the Director of Architecture and Public Spaces with research, planning, production, and installation of exhibition elements and other design upgrades to the museum's public-facing areas. This position will also maintain and improve the shop, prep, and storage areas.About the Frye Art MuseumFounded in 1952, the Frye is Seattle's only free art museum. Learn more at fryemuseum.org.Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning 30%Research methods and materials related to exhibition and interior design projectsProcure materials necessary for exhibition and interior design components and gallery reconfigurationsPlan and maintain comprehensive production schedules to ensure timely exhibition and interior design components completion.Format and test audio and visual files for compatibility and hardware integrationDesign 30%Generate precise drawings for museum furniture as well as other exhibition and interior design components, ensuring all specifications meet design requirementsGenerate floorplan maps and three-dimensional CAD renderings of design components and layoutsProduce scaled images and maquettes for the museum model.Implement 30%Utilize a range of tools and techniques to construct exhibition and interior design components per design specificationsIn conjunction with the installation team, oversee packing/unpacking and installation/de-installation of 2-d, 3-d, and media-based artworks.Oversee the installation of exhibition components and interior design componentsMaintain 10%Maintain and make improvements to the woodshop, A.V.
