Production Lead: Manufacturing/Assembly Truck Bed Covers Retrax: Grand Forks NDPOSITION SUMMARYThe Production Lead will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of production employees to achieve goals and maintain high standards of quality. This role will require a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and effective communication to drive team success. CORE FUNCTIONS
- Partner with the Leadership on employee scheduling, labor efficiency, work instructions, and throughput
- Collaborate with other area leads and supervisors to facilitate cross-training opportunities; develop employee knowledge in multiple skill sets
- Implement work instructions to ensure employee knowledge and accuracy is up to date
- Collaborate with purchasing, production scheduler, and shipping to monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for all parts
- Effectively communicate maintenance issues and repair and replace consumables as needed
- Serve as a positive leader and mentor by exhibiting and instructing desirable behaviors and skill sets
- Serve as the initial point of contact and primary support resource for employees, functioning as the first line of defense in addressing and resolving various issues they may encounter
- Perform other related or non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTSEducation and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent and/or a combination of experience and education required
- Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing and/or distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities required
- 3-5 years in years in manufacturing and/or distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities preferred.
