Job Description:
Production Lead: Manufacturing/Assembly Truck Bed Covers Retrax: Grand Forks NDPOSITION SUMMARYThe Production Lead will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of production employees to achieve goals and maintain high standards of quality. This role will require a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and effective communication to drive team success. CORE FUNCTIONS
  • Partner with the Leadership on employee scheduling, labor efficiency, work instructions, and throughput
  • Collaborate with other area leads and supervisors to facilitate cross-training opportunities; develop employee knowledge in multiple skill sets
  • Implement work instructions to ensure employee knowledge and accuracy is up to date
  • Collaborate with purchasing, production scheduler, and shipping to monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for all parts
  • Effectively communicate maintenance issues and repair and replace consumables as needed
  • Serve as a positive leader and mentor by exhibiting and instructing desirable behaviors and skill sets
  • Serve as the initial point of contact and primary support resource for employees, functioning as the first line of defense in addressing and resolving various issues they may encounter
  • Perform other related or non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTSEducation and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or a combination of experience and education required
  • Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing and/or distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities required
  • 3-5 years in years in manufacturing and/or distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities preferred.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead: working team member who coordinates, supports, trains, and is a knowledge resource for other team members. No direct reports or supervisory responsibility.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • This position is subject to Medium Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 100 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 100 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
