Job Summary
We are looking for a Production Lead with supervisory experience. This role will schedule workloads, provide feedback and interpret and enforce company safety rules while maintaining housekeeping requirements.
Job Responsibilities
* Balance team and individual responsibilities
* Contribute to building a positive team spirit
* Examine and inspect work progress and equipment to verify safety and ensure that specifications are met
* Estimate material and worker requirements to complete jobs, supervising, training and scheduling employees
* Coordinate tasks for the completion of operations
* Track and measure team performance to ensure efficient use of labor and materials, report information in daily meetings
* Work with the team to ensure successful completion of schedule
* Substitute for workers during worker absence or to relieve work-congested areas
* Assist workers in resolving problems and evaluating performance of direct reports for decisions concerning continued employment and promotion
* Other duties may be required as needed
Job Requirements
* Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment or supervisory experience in the construction trades, experience with concrete is a plus
* High school / equivalent, trade school; or at least 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
* Ability to write simple correspondence
* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
* Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10/s and 100's
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
* Ability to contribute to a continually improving atmosphere with fresh ideas and insights
* Have a basic understanding and ability to interpret drawings
* Strong interpersonal and organizations skills
* Strong computer skills required including all Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
* Ability to lift up to 40 lb
