POSITION SUMMARY In the role, you will be responsible for guiding and leading your team to meet production goals, maintaining high standards of quality, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, be highly organized, and possess a keen eye for detail, as well as a deep understanding of production processes, machinery, and quality control practices. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Team Leadership and Development The production Line Lead will lead, motivate, and build a strong, cohesive team on the production line. They will provide ongoing training to team members on best practices, safety standards, and production procedures as well as encourage a collaborative work environment and maintain team morale. Production and Quality Control In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and in line with company standards. The Production Line Lead will conduct regular inspections to verify sheds are built to quality specifications, ensuring minimal mistakes and material waste. Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement You will be responsible for addressing production issues, troubleshooting problems, and providing solutions to ensure smooth production workflow. You will also assist in identifying areas for process improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce errors. Health and Safety Compliance The Production Line Lead will ensure that team members follow all health, safety, and compliance standards, promoting a safe work environment. They will also perform regular safety checks and communicate safety guidelines to the team. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team-building skills with a proven track record of managing and motivating a team.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and other departments.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly assess situations, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
  • Organization: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring products meet the highest quality standards with menial defects.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of production line machinery, equipment, and technology, with the ability to ensure proper operation.
  • Experience: Proven experience in training team members on best practices and company standards.
  • Quality Control: Hands-on experience with quality control processes and ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Health and Safety: Knowledge of safety regulations and experience ensuring adherence to safety protocols on the production line.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous experience in a leadership role is required.
  • Familiarity with shed construction or similar assembly-based industries is a plus.
  • Ability to lift, stand, and work on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or training in manufacturing, leadership, and safety is a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment in our manufacturing facility is fast-paced and hands-on, with a high level of activity. Please be aware that our facility is not climate-controlled, and employees may occasionally be required to work outside in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, or rain. The workspace is noisy due to machinery and equipment. Additionally, employees should be prepared to tolerate exposure to paint and stain fumes, as well as sawdust in the air. The position involves long periods of standing, and employees may also be required to perform tasks on ladders and scaffolding, including working at heights of 6 feet or more. Safety protocols are in place to ensure a secure and efficient work environment. WORK SCHEDULE Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with two paid 15-minute breaks and one unpaid 30 minute lunch. Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines or handle peak workloads.
