The Production Line Supervisor – Packaging Services oversees the smooth operation of the assembly line, ensuring compliance with quality, productivity, safety, and cleanliness standards. This role also includes performing Hand Worker tasks as needed based on production requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Team Oversight: Delegate tasks and responsibilities to the production team to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.

  • GMP Compliance: Review job duties and applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with the team to ensure adherence.

  • Safety Management: Maintain a safe and injury-free production environment by implementing and monitoring safety protocols.

  • Quality Assurance: Obtain and verify the Clean Line Inspection Record, ensuring it is signed by Quality Assurance before production starts.

  • Material Verification: Inspect and record item numbers, lot numbers, expiration dates, and quantities of materials entering the production area on the Daily Product Record.

  • Production Quality: Compare ongoing production with customer-approved samples to ensure consistency and quality.

  • Documentation: Ensure that hourly quality checks and equipment performance are documented accurately.

  • Performance Monitoring: Assess the assembly line for operational continuity and production rates, making necessary adjustments.

  • Inventory Reconciliation: Reconcile finished products and components, promptly reporting any discrepancies to the Supervisor.

  • Performance Evaluation: Calculate production rates on an hourly basis and compare them to output goals, making adjustments as needed to meet targets.

  • Work Area Maintenance: Keep the production environment clean, organized, and in compliance with company standards.

  • SOP Adherence: Ensure all team members follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) consistently.

  • Hand Worker Tasks: Efficiently perform Hand Worker duties as required by production demands.

  • Disciplinary Actions: Handle minor disciplinary issues and escalate significant matters to the Supervisor.

  • Qualifications:

    • Experience in a supervisory role within a production or manufacturing environment.
    • Knowledge of GMPs, production processes, and safety regulations.
    • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
    • Ability to perform Hand Worker tasks effectively.
    • Excellent communication and attention to detail.

    Working Conditions:

    • The role involves working in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to machinery and industrial conditions.
    • Physical requirements include standing, lifting, and moving materials.
